Helicopter ride anyone?
In December 2019 skiing in the French Alps, I was taken by helicopter to the local hospital where later that day I underwent surgery. The surgery was not a success. I knew that I would need another operation which needed to be performed by a leading surgeon as there was a danger I would not walk properly again. Mr Simon Thompson, who saw me straight away and having seen my imaging confirmed that I had undergone the wrong surgical procedure in France. Simon has redone the surgery and it has been a complete success. I have been extremely pleased with Mr Thompson’s care from start to finish. Despite restrictions caused by Covid-19, I have had very thorough after-care. I am on track for a full recovery.?
